This intro post explains the purpose of this website.

I, the author of this website, have worked as a senior data scientist at the Wikimedia Foundation from January 2024 to December 2025.

I’ve previously shared a link to my LinkedIn profile on this page, and I’ve since removed it. The goal of sharing it was to help the Wikimedia movement community have at least some way to confirm that I have indeed worked at WMF. It looks like the community members who wanted that confirmation already have taken a look at my profile, so that purpose has been served.

Why I removed the link to my LinkedIn profile:

  • Media inquiries. My testimony on this website is neither political nor particularly newsworthy, so, respectfully, my answer to all media inquiries is “no, thank you”. The purpose of my testimony on this website is to help in some way former and current WMF staff, and the Wikimedia movement community, and that’s it.
  • Enough people either know who I am by now, or know who to ask about me if needed, e.g. many WMF staff. I trust those people’s discretion. But I don’t trust the algorithms as much.
